Throughout my administrative career, I have worked for private and public sectors in the Ottawa area, such as Instantel (part of Stanley Black & Decker),  Rohde & Schwarz Canada, Hydro Ottawa, Indian and Northern Affairs, and SNC-Lavalin, to name a few.  I provided administrative services at office locations, as well as virtually from home.

 

During my past experience, I have developed user-friendly customer survey forms, complex spreadsheets, designed process flows using VISIO along with the associated procedures, user manuals, user guides, policies and procedures, as well as designed documents using Desktop Publishing.

I have been involved in various projects throughout my career.  To name a few:
  • Instantel - Co-chaired Joint Health & Safety Committee and Social Committee, participated in "reducing one-time use plastic" initiative.
  • Hydro Ottawa – I participated in a project to review and develop all Human Resources procedures (approximately 50), which included meeting with individuals and/or groups, document their roles and responsibilities, then design it into a process flow using Visio.
  • Hydro Ottawa – I assisted with Canada’s Top 100 Employers submission for 2013 and received excellent feedback from the President and CEO of Hydro Ottawa.
  • SNC-Lavalin – I participated in two multi-million dollar proposals, from design stage to submission. My roles were as a Senior Formatter and Technical Writer.
  • Dessau – I participated in arranging a large conference that was held in British Columbia, which included scheduling furniture and equipment required for the conference, ordering hand outs and ship directly to the conference, ensuring electronic equipment was available and working, travel arrangements, etc.
